The enemies are brought onto the screen via a flash of white essence. Summon: The Pale Titan will summon a random creature from a large pool of enemies, testing your skills against past foes.The shockwaves will deal two masks of damage, but getting hit by the sword will only deal one. Shockwave: The Pale Titan stabs his sword into the ground on the middle of the arena, creating two shockwaves (similar to that of False Knight’s and Soul Master’s) that stretch out towards the sides of the screen.Saw Slice: Two saws from the White Palace appear from each edge of the screen, and will, move towards the opposite end of the Arena.Up to six orbs can be summoned with this attack. The orbs can either be deflected or simply dodged until they move off the screen. Orb Attack: The Pale Titan repeatedly shoots armored orbs of Void at the Knight.The nails, however, move in a curved fashion and need to be dodged from the top instead of the side. Nail Rain: The Pale Titan begins shooting out nails from his body, similar to Grimm’s Pufferfish attack.This attack will ONLY happen in between phases. They can be deflected with the nail or the Dreamshield. Masks Of Vengeance: Masks will begin raining down from the ceiling and land on the ground, similar to the falling stalactites seen throughout the game.Phase 1 features 5 attacks, each dealing one mask of damage with the exclusion of the shockwaves from the Shockwave attack.

Ogrim brings the Knight alongside him, as well as other allies, to fall into the Pale King’s trap. In order to become King once more, he invades the mind of Ogrim and signals him to look for the Palace. The Knight has taken the King's Brand and is marked as the King of Hallownest. However, after awakening from his death, he finds the throne taken and a new light arises. With the defeat of the Radiance, the Pale King has returned to be the ruler of the kingdom once more.
